ABOUT ME

I am Pastor Clive Salmon, and my loving wife Evangelist Nickesha Salmon, who has been with me in The M.F.C Church. I was born in Jamaica, in the District of Aberdeen, in the Parish of St. Elizabeth. I believe that I was born to win, born to serve God, and to live a life of mission with a God purpose.

“Living a life on mission” is to live on purpose, to fulfill the Great Commission, and to stand in the GAP. It reflects the heart of evangelism—reflecting Jesus and sharing the Gospel with those I come in contact with.

THE INSPIRATION AND AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE

2TIMOTHY 3:16-17, 2 PETER 1:20-21

2TIMOTHY 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

2 Peter 1:20-21

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

John 16:13

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The writers of scripture wrote with words taught by The Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit directed the writers in the choice of the words that they used (Exodus 24:4 ;And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

Isaiah 51:16And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people”.

This is my belief and i will never change my belief

1.        (1) I believe the Bible is inspired by God and not by man; it is of divine (not human) origin. 2 Timothy 3:16 literally reads, “All scripture is God-breathed”.

2.        I believe the whole Bible is equally inspired by God – from Genesis to Revelation. I believe in the entire Bible – It is a full, complete inspiration book of all books

3.        I believe the inspiration of the Bible extends to every Book, chapter, sentence, and word in the original documents. This is verbal inspiration, meaning that it extends to the very words used in the original writings.

The Bible is a “more certain” Word (verse 19). This means ‘firm’, ‘reliable’, ‘trustworthy’. The reference is to the Old Testament, but what is true there is also true of the New Testament., the Bible is a ‘sure’ word, and it can be depended upon! If this were not so – look up Psalm 11:3. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

  1. (2) The Bible is a light in a dark place (verse 19). The world is a dark place, with no spark of light anywhere, no divine revelation – except in the Bible. Apart from God’s Word we know nothing about the meaning of life, about death or about eternity (Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”.
  2. 3) The Bible is well  organize ,  no scripture is to be interpreted by itself – The word is to be “correctly handled” (2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.);The  scripture must be interpreted in the light of the scripture itself.
  • (4) The Bible was written by holy men. God chose about forty human writers and He used these to write the sixty-six books of the Bible. But we must notice that they did not write according to “the will of man” (verse 21). What they wrote was not a fabrication of their own ideas, nor the result of human imagination, insight or speculation.
  • (5) The Bible was and is inspired by the Holy Spirit (verse 21). He is the divine Author and He inspired the writers. They were “carried along” by the Holy Spirit as they wrote.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work”.

What we learn in the presence of God cannot be learned in the presence of men.

The Holy Ghost, the greatest teacher

1 Corinthians 2:12-13

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

2 Peter 1:20-21

Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Ghost reproduce Christ’s holiness in us. The Holy Ghost multiply Christ’s holiness in us.

St. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

1 Corinthians 2:12-13

1Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

  • The scripture is inspirited by God’s breath that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God
  • The great privileges of the gospel which is the free gift of God is a distribution of His rich grace.
  • It is not man wisdom, but it is the wisdom of God himself.
  • It is only through The Holy Spirit that God’s truth and wisdom were revealed to humanity.
  • All Doctrine, Commentaries, interpretation, Explanations, Prophecies, Teaching and Preaching, all must be judged by THE WRITTEN WORDS in the message of the HOLY GHOST.

NO ADDITION NO SUBTRACTION

Deut 12:32; Rev 22:18; Rev 20:12-15

  1. There is a Penalty of Addition and Subtraction of the Scripture
  2. If you add to the Scripture, God will add the plagues that is written therein to your life.
  3. If you Subtract from the Scripture, God will take your name from the Book of life.

NOTE: We use the inspired word of God to conquer the power of sin, Satan, and the world in our lives.

Thank you for taking your precious time to study as you continue to walk in the word..
