I WILL NOT BE MISLED BY TYRANT
“ 1 Samuel 8:6-7
6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.
7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them”.
Samuel was unhappy that Israel wants a king, so he prays to God for guidance. God assures Samuel that Israel is rejecting Him, not Samuel. He explains that this is how the Israelites have always behaved. God will grant Israel a human king, but first they must be warned of the consequences that will bring.
Isaiah 3:12
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Isaiah 9:16
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
1King 18
Jezebel of the O.T
Jezebel the Tyrant, Wife of the head of State
Jezebel was the wife of King Ahab who ruled the kingdom of Israel.
She was the daughter of king of Sidon
Jezebel had a daughter mention name: Athaliah
Athaliah married Jehoram (reigned 851–843 B.C.E.) of Judah (2 Kgs 8:18; 2 Chr 21:6). After Jehoram’s death, their son Ahaziah reigned for one year, and “his mother was his counselor in doing wickedly” (2 Chr 22:3).
Unknown to her, her grandson was saved and raised in the Temple. When he reached seven years of age, he was secretly crowned king. Athaliah rushed to the Temple crying treason, but the royal guards seized her and killed her.
King Ahab and jezebel allowed their daughter Athaliah to married to Jehoram king of Judah to get a link between the two kingdom, Israel and Judah.
Jezebel was a tyrant who corrupted her husband and the nation by promoting pagan worship
She married Ahab and moved to Jezreel. A city that served the Lord. She turn that city into a city that worshiped Baal
She became the power behind the throne
Her husband builed a sanctuary for Baal and supported hundreds of pagan prophets, 1 King 18:19
So Athaliah was just like her mother, she was a killer of royalty
Jezebel promoted the worship of false gods in Israel,
Jezebel harassed and killed God’s prophets, and arranged for an innocent man to be falsely charged and executed .
When Naboth refused to part with his vineyard (“the inheritance of his fathers”), Jezebel falsely charged him with blaspheming “God and the king,” which led to Naboth’s death by stoning.
Elijah confronted Ahab in the vineyard, predicting that he and all his heirs would be destroyed and that dogs in Jezreel would devour Jezebel
Jezebel oppose the worship of the Hebrew God Yahweh, neglecting the rights and well-being of her subjects
Jezebel challenging the great prophets Elijah
After the death of Ahab, her husband, she reigned for 10 years through her sons Ahaziah and Joram
A Jezebels behind the throne!! She work behind her sons
Her two sons were killed by Jehu the anointed king
Jehu also commanded her to be thrown through a window in the fulfilment of the prophetic word of Elijah
Jezebel was trampled by horses and eaten by dogs 1King 21:19, only Jezebel’s skull, feet and the palms of her hands were left to bury.2 king 9:30-37 (Skull and Bone
jezebel’s life teaches that God balances the scales of justice. Wickedness may prevail for a season, but God’s righteousness will eventually triumph over the forces of evil.
God desired for us to be stable, God promised to preserve us despite of the war and the killing.
There was a preserve lamp for Israel. That lamp” was a descendant of David. Let us pray that God preserve a lamp in our line
There was a preserve lineage who would maintain the Davidic line from which the Messiah would come
in 1 Kings 11:36
36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
in Psalm 132:17: There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
In other word God was saying: I will increase the power of David;
my anointed one will be a light for my people.
After the death of Solomon, the nation Israel was divided into two kingdoms: the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah. Initially, these two kingdoms were hostile toward each other. At times, this hostility erupted in war (1 Kings 15:16; 2 Kings 13:12). But things changed dramatically during the reign of Ahab, king of Israel.
Ahab was an evil kings in Israel’s history, King Ahab “did more evil in the eyes of the LORD than any of those before him” (1 Kings 16:30).
Ahab’s life that led to his downfall was his marriage to an evil woman Jezebel who had a particular hatred for God’s people (1 Kings 18:4).
He married to a pagan woman, Ahab devoted himself to the worship of the false gods Baal and Asherah in Israel (1 Kings 16:31–33).
There was one moment in Israel’s history when all hope for “a lamp” in Israel seemed lost. Jehu had killed, the king of Judah, and the king of Israel.
Jezebel, had been put to death. All these things happened in fulfilment of God’s Word, that was spoken through Elijah.
Ahab and Jezebel had a daughter named Athaliah, who married Jehoshaphat’s son, Jehoram, who was then king over Judah. When Athaliah learned that her son, Ahaziah, had been put to death, she sought to eliminate all the heirs to his throne, (All the Royal seed) and to reign herself, as queen over Israel.
Athaliah was the only leader who rule over Judah she was not of the Davidic line, at one moment it looked like there was no David left.
“How many sons and daughters has been destroy by mother and father in law, brother and sister in law”
These were dark days for the people of Judah, and Israel. That time was a kind of “tribulation”.
Wherever the spirit of Jezebel and Athaliah are, it surely going to be darkness
If the spirit of Jezebel and Athaliah is in your house, they will visit church with you, they will seek to spread in your congregation, because they are a spirit that come to steel, rule, kill and destroy
Athaliah Takes Over
(According to 2 Kings 11:1-3)
1 When Athaliah saw that her son was dead, she was determined to destroy the entire royal line. 2 So Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram Joash and hid him from the rest of the royal descendants who were to be executed. She hid him and his nurse in the temple. He was hidden from Athaliah for 6-7 years ruling over the land.
LET ME OPEN YOUR EYES BRETHREN
Jezebel and Athaliah knew how to “take charge.” they know how to take over, they will take away your husband, wife, daughter, son, land cars, so you better open your eyes of discernment, because they have their bachelor degree in taking over and take charge.
If Jezebel and Athaliah —had succeeded in killing every heir to the throne of David. They would have annulled God’s covenant with David and put an end to Israel’s hope of a Messiah.
But no one, no authority, no king cannot fight against God and his people and prevail.
Those spirit will appeared to ended your dynasty and to established themself as the ruler over your family and churches.
That spirit are expert in execution style, so you better be an expert in the Spirit of God , knowing that the weapon of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty throught God, to the pulling down of stronghold.
King Jehu had put an end to the dynasty of Jezebel and Ahad by obeying the words of God Almighty, so we can do it also.
TAKE NOTE
David did it with Goliath
The three Hebrew boys did it
Daniel did it, Joshua and Moses did it with the seven gentile The Canaanites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Jebusites and the Perizzites.
